The or1ksim-gdb connection is currently broken, e.g. does not work (it was not 
used for a long time).
gdb-board connection works.

See previous messages on this mailing list for more info.

Both connections use some proprietary protocol to communicate over TCP/IP and 
then connect to jp1 server. This is very deep subject and you will have to 
look in or1ksim/gdb specific files if you want to explore this.
