we get about 60Mb/s with 3des/sha1 vs. around 13Mb/s in software (OpenBSD).
Our guy that works for us is one of the dev's for OpenBSD (does the drivers
and kernel stuff). We had to get the guy that maintains the IPSEC section to
add support for splitting the stack to insert calls to hardware.
The next card we're doing does 300Mb/s 3des/sha1 then off to a full custom
box that does 2.4Gb/s.
