[openrisc] Re: openrisc notes]



Hi Jeff,

right now we are trying to boot uClinux on OR1200. Once this is done, we'll
call it 'nearly complete'. Once we boot Linux, we'll call OR1200 complete.
But there will be also other openrisc designs - I'll put a roadmap on the
web (hopefully by monday). These will come after OR1200.

Regarding patents. OR1200 will go through professional analysis done by an
IP law firm. Also some other cores will go through such analysis as well
(the one that are essential for building a fairly versatile embedded
system). I think this will be very important for integrity of openrisc and
other cores.
