This is the output I got with a pcmcia option pack attached.

Notes:
(1) front light is switched off for 2 secs.
(2) front light is brought from 1 - max in approx 5 secs.
(3) Led flashes for approx 2 secs.
(4) Version numbers displayed as shown - note if you dont have an option pack
	then the format will only show first number.
(5) Led ceases flashing.
(6) front light is brought from max - 1 in approx 5 secs.
