[oc] Need Advice to Contribute to Soc Projects

Hi,
I am new to the OpenCores..I am a fresh graduate in EE. I would like to 
contribute to the Soc Projects like AMBA SDRAM Controller and AHB AHB 
Bridge. In one of my courses in school, I designed some AMBA APB 
peripherals. I am pretty good in both VHDL and verilog. If you please 
advice me on what I need to study and the procedure to be a part of 
these projects, I would appreciate it !
