Yes, I thought about that, too. If I understood the PCMCIA stuff correctly, there are two
standards meant, when talking about PCMCIA: PC-Card and Cardbus.

PC-Card is not that complicated (and fast) as PCI. While Cardbus is very similar to PCI.
At the moment I only need to support PC-Card.

That means for the moment, it does not make sense to use the PCI core.

Did anybody connect a PC-card (not a cardbus card) to a FPGA before ?
