Not sure about leapfrog, but Cadence has an excellent mixed language
simulator called "NC-Sim". Runs both, Verilog and VHDL !

This is a "Native-Compile" simulator, meaning it compiled the HDL
code to your host CPU native code and then executes it. This results
in some awesome simulation speeds! It is very easy to use, and supports
many platforms (Windows, Linux, SunOS ...).
